MANTIS: MantisRodz stands for the proposition that designing and building rods and custom cars are best enjoyed with copious amounts of tastefully but scantily clad women, your favorite beverage, and any food with grill marks on it. As a RodzReader, you’ll come to enjoy plenty of the above – especially if you take the time to submit your favorite images.

Grub. Suds, Hounds. And, Chicks. Along with Rods, these are a few of our favorite things (though, not necessarily in that order). Submit your photos and commentary on Food, Beverages, Pets and Women. Here are a few other ideas to add to your lifestyle favorites: vacations, vaction homes, sports, rigs, choppers, boats and how about tattoos? Remember that kids play an important role on this site-and Mantis intends for this to be a suitable place for the entire family. All of these have some car-culture-connection. Blog away…

National Guard Hummer at Snoqualmie Pass

Max took in another 1/2 day in ski lessons at Snoqualmie. He met a member of the National Guard on his recent trip. Levi, the Career Counselor for the Washington Army National Guard, was happy to take a photo with Max next to his patriotic Hummer. Mantis Rodz thanks the U.S. Armed Forces for protecting our country. Thanks again, Levi!

Here is the 1-800-Go-Guard link to get more information on the National Guard and Go Washington Guard for the local info. Go to Hummer for all of you cool terrain vehicle fans.

Mantis meets Osmosis Hummer

The Mantis Lifestyle link is just that-lifestyle. It's about passions, hobbies, interests and family. When Mantis spotted this Osmosis Mint Water Hummer-Eric-the owner/rep-was on his way to a Lynnwood, WA gym. Isn't that great advertising-an awesome rig representing a good healthy beverage-with an owner that's hitting the gym. If that isn't a lifestyle, Mantis isn't sure what is? We'd like to thank Eric for allowing us to photo his ride. Here's this healthy Osmosis Mint Water that his Hummer is advertising.

Stongest Man in the World karate chop!

Max's recent visit to New York allowed him to witness a member of the "Strongest Man in the World" perform an amazing feat by breaking bricks by foot with a 360 roundhouse. This man was a part of a two-man team that toured the country doing things in front of crowds just like the one shown here. This event was performed live in front of the NBC Today Show at Rockefeller Center. For you NBC Today Show fans visit here.

Mantis visits Snoqualmie Pass for Max's Ski School

Mantis understands that cruising hot rodz and classic cars can be a great thing year round in certain parts of the country, but unfortunately in the Pacific Northwest one can't cruise all the time. Some of us take it to the slopes during the winter and try out some different kind of entertainment. Here is Max of Mantis getting ready for his second year of ski school. Mantis also saw some rides trying to make it up the mountain and wasn't sure why a Mustang was giving it a shot? This was probably the most rugged ride that Mantis spotted-the Defender-Land Rover pictured here. Check out the license plate-this rig is from Massachusetts. Here are two great sites for the above topics: Land Rover USA and Summit at Snoqualmie for some great information.

Some Snoqualmie videos

Mantis made it up to Snoqualmie Pass in Washington State to capture some random videos. The Snoqualmie Ski Patrol made some comment, but Mantis continued to video while on the slopes. It captured some snow-boarders on a short clip performing a 360. It also saw some backwards manuevers from others on the slopes. Mantis will be sure to capture some rad jumps on the next visit.

Mantis, Max and his "Motor Scooter" video clip

Santa sure surprised Max with a new motor scooter this year. Because Max is a 7 year old-his family gets nervous about his ambition on hitting the dirt with his motorcycle or the road with his scooter, but how does one learn the ropes? The Nike slogan " just do it" comes to mind. His family keeps a watchful eye on him too-and gives him room to roam. For you motor scooter, go kart, ATV's enthusiast-etc, check out Motor Scooters .
