Here is the shot of the day! This cool ride was spotted at the Redmond High School parking lot during a round of rookie football games.

Unique ridz of the day!

Check out the roadster/motorcycle. This dude did the right thing by stopping on the side of the road to use his cell phone. Mantis also spotted this Beast of a 4-Wheel Drive sitting in Woodinville, WA with a price tag for $7,900.00.

Mantis cool ride of the day!

Mantis drove by Jim Green's Performance Center this afternoon. This Mopar knows the right place to stop for automotive parts. Jim Green has been serving the goods for over four decades and continues to be the source in the automotive community.

The Road Runner houses a 383 that smokes.

T-Bird Photo in Wenatchee, WA

Mantis did a quick day trip from Bothell to Wenatchee and back. This T-Bird photo unfortunately didn't come in too clear. It was a fun trip-even though we didn't spot that many cool ridz. Check out the Journal portion of the blog for more photos of the ride.

Cool Mustang at Dick's Drive In

Burgers, Fries, Shakes and Mustangs. Mantis had to take in a Deluxe, Cheese, fries and Chocolate Shake the other day. It also had the opportunity to take a photo of the blue Mustang outside the drive in. Anyone recognize this ride?

Summer time = Cruzin time. It's tough to capture all of the rides by photo that go by when one is on the road. Here are a few cool cars cruzin the streets and even a parked Ford Galaxie. Check out the one hauling the boat.

Mantis snappin photos on the road!

Going 60+ mph on the freeway is cool. Try snapping photos of cool ridz on the road while your cruzin at 60mph. It's a rush! Mantis does not suggest that anyone do this feat while driving however. The photos might come out a lot better if someone else was shooting away. Check out the latest ridz.

"Not a Nomad" spotted on the road by Mantis

Check out the Chevy Mantis spotted in Woodinville. This ride was sure to let everyone know that it's "Not a Nomad," which is on the back of the car.

Mantis on the road again!

It's rad to see all the cool ridz out on the road. Check out these vintage cruisers that Mantis spotted yesterday. I'm sure the ride fueling up was at the pump for a while! The Dodge was found up in Ferndale, WA. The red roadtser was on I-5 in Lynnwood, WA.

1964 T-Bird

Mantis has spotted a few cool T-Birds recently. This one happened to be a great find for a young teenager. A cool cat scooped up this '64 T-Bird with only 43,000 miles on the original engine-as is-for $2,800.00. Wow...what a great find!

Some cool ridz from Bothell to Verlot, WA

Mantis took a journey up to Mt. Baker/Snoqualmie National Forest. Check out some of the ridz that Mantis encountered on the way from Bothell to Lake Stevens, Granite Falls and Verlot. What an awesome ride and ridz-enjoy!

This T-Bird sure is a beauty! Check out the custom flame job on this Ranchero. Mantis spotted these ridz up in Everett off of Colby. Remember Cruzin to Colby back in the days?

Clearview weekend show

Folks gathered at the Albertsons Clearview parking area near McDonalds on Saturday to show their cars. Check out some of the ridz. Cruise over the eventz section on the site to see some other cool cars from the show.

4th of July Blaine, WA car show

Could the weather have been any better over the 4th of July in the Pacific Northwest? Car shows were hoppin all over Washington. This show took place in Blaine, WA-near the border of Canada. British Columbia folks came down to show their ridz. Check em out! Shift over to the eventz section to see some more photos!

Whidbey Island Farmer's Market

Max was pumped to go to the farmer's market and check out the goods. He stopped by the Bayview Market and Coupeville's Farmer's Market. Both were hoppin. To his surprise he ran into some cool ridz! Check em out.

Nice ride Mike, it is cool to see it out on the road! This is another example of keeping the midnight oil burning and getting your ride on the road.... It is all about the drive!!!

Orcas Island-Memorial Day Weekend 2009

What a rare time for a Memorial Day weekend in the Pacific Northwest. Mantis can't remember the last weekend that produced blue skies, sun and even heat over this holiday. Can you? Getting to an island by ferry boat or seaplane is a real trip. Waiting in line for the sailing-coming or going-is a real treat over a long holiday weekend. Orcas Island is worth the trip-rain or shine. Mantis was on the hunt for cars, but only ran into a few (cool rodz though). Mantis ran into a couple of British cars as well.

Mantis was checking out Motocross at the ORV Park in Richland, WA

It's difficult to miss Ed Vonderahe's F & F Auto Clinic, Inc on Bothell-Everett Highway. Of course-his company is all about cars. Check out his 1964 T-Bird that he's standing by. He's been the proud owner of his ride since he was 15 years old. Ed has a number of other classic vehicles that he will share with Mantis at a later date.

Kompact Kar Korner in Lynnwood, WA has the goods!

Talk about nostalgia and going back in time-walking into the showroom of Kompact Kar Korner is just that. When you step into their shop, it's like you are at a drive-in, gas station, burger joint and having James Dean walk by. They sport the cream of the crop in vintage-classic vehicles. David from Bothell and his '71 El Camino

Mantis was cruising by the local Home Depot in Bothell, WA and had an opportunity to meet David and his 1971 El Camino. He has been working on his ride for almost 6 months-new suspension, tires and rims and tuned up his 350. We really appreciate the opportunity to get a photo and talk to you about your car David. Mantis clearly spotted the classic of classic cars. This Rolls was parked in a no-parking zone on Occidental in Seattle. Was the driver taking a break? Check out Rolls Royce for the new models.

Check out George's 1954 Chevrolet Pick-Up

Mantis knows what a great place the Pacific Northwest is and so does George from North Seattle. He's proud of his '54 and has a great story behind it. George worked in the Seattle area for a number of years and then moved to Chicago. He's familiar with a number of other cities around the nation-and has family in Kansas City. George and his wife missed the Pacific Northwest and moved back.
His Chevy Pick-Up was restored by Midwest Hot Rods-and they did a spectacular job. Shipping his car back to the Seattle area was interesting, but Midwest Hot Rods does it with ease. Mantis sure would like to see some photos of the Chevy before or during the restoration. Any photos available? Thanks again George!

Mantis meets Rod from Hot Rod's Restos!

Rod Nielsen from Hot Rod's Restos was happy to have Mantis Rodz take some pictures of his incredible gems. His two rides were on the front line of the 2008 Seattle Roadster Show where they belonged. Mantis wanted to give a big thank you for taking the time to snag some photos and talk shop. Hey, Rodzreaders-make sure and check out Rod's site to find out more about his cars and other projects.

The Seattle Roadster sported some phenomenal bikes. Take a look at some of the photos that Mantis was able to capture. These bikes scream WOO-HOO! The Felony Flyers are out of Seattle and Speed Motor Sports out of Central Washington. If Mantis left out some of the groups, we apologize.

LeeRoy Cannady in the movie "Clutch" stopped by Mantis.

Renegade Productions will have "Clutch" the movie coming out soon-it was filmed in the Pacific Northwest. LeeRoy Cannady and his son stopped by the Mantis Rodz booth to say hello. He has a couple of sweet rides and actually has one of his cars in the upcoming movie. Here is LeeRoy's 1968 Pontiac LeMans. Check out the link to Clutch and see what the show is about. Sometimes you meet friends in unusual places. Steve of Mantis Rodz was just getting to the Seattle Roadster Show to get set up. His partner-Kevin will be arriving soon with the "Praying Mantis." Eltrina Rose knew that Steve needed to have a visitor pass to get in the door and gladly passed her's to Steve. She mentioned that her husband was getting their "Mustang Racer" dialed for the show. Mantis really appreciated meeting the Rose family. They sent a lot of people to our booth. Thanks again Jim and Eltrina! We look forward to seeing you on here soon. Legends Car Club unites at the Seattle Roadster Show

Cruzin with a car club is a lot of fun. Mantis Rodz has a vendor booth right across a club that sports some classic '50s and '60s rides. Here are a few cars for your viewing pleasure! The 1964 Chevrolet is a 2 Door Sport Coupe, 327ci/300hp, 4SPcr, 4.10oar...it's color is Midnight Blue Metalic and all factory original. Mantis will work on getting the specs on this 1967 Chevrolet Nova SS-2 door hardtop.

Their display is nostalgic and packed with '50s and '60s memorabilia. See Marilyn Monroe stare at you-and walk down memory lane with record sleeves of Jerry Lee Lewis, The Wailers and Roy Orbison. Don't miss out on James Dean. This Legends Car Club is a lot of fun. Hope that you were able to check them out at the Seattle Roadster Show. Thanks again Ken and the group!
