What a classic Mustang that Mantis spotted!

Mantis would like to thank this classic car collector for allowing us to take a picture of his car. The Mustang owner bought his ride a couple of years ago and it had the original 289 motor. As the rodzreaders will be able to tell-the car has been restored into pristine shape. The owner also allowed us to look at the engine....incredible! The Mustang and the owner was spotted north of Seattle. Thanks again for allowing Mantis the opportunity. Hope to see you at one of the upcoming car shows!

Classic car and Mustang fans should visit Top Stangs to view some sites.

What a great VW Transporter work rig!

When it comes to rugged work trucks-this 1990 VW Transporter rig does the trick. Mantis met Jeremy Simkins with Backflows Northwest (425-277-2888) doing some tests in Bothell, WA. He has had his backflow prevention business for 5 years and has put his ride to the test. It may not be a classic, vintage, street or muscle car, but this vehicle sure has character. Jeremy informed Mantis that he has photos when he first bought the rig-and has some interesting history to share. The rodzreaders will look forward to reading about it. Thanks Jeremy!

Check out the ride that Mantis spotted!

When the sun comes out-the cool cars arrive. Mantis was able to capture this beauty of a Camaro in Lynnwood, WA. just as the driver was walking away. Unfortunately Mantis was unable to get the scoop on this awesome muscle car, but hopefully the driver will fill the rodzreaders in on the goods. A picture of the engine and a better description of the car would be appreciative! Thanks for allowing Mantis to take a picture of your car. Hey all of you Camaro fans check out Fire Wheel Classics for a great site.

Mopars are totally awesome!

Dear Moparman,

Those cars are awesome.

I found this great picture just for you, Mantis! I thought you'd like the praying mantis colors!

I didn't know a lot about Mopars, so I did some research. I found some cool sites, that I thought you might appreciate. This site is all Mopar muscle cars Mopar Muscle Magazine, and this one does too Stockmopar.

But I'll bet it is hard to find Mopar parts, if so, see these sites Mopar and Dr. Mopar

Mopars are totally tubular!

The Moparman appreciates this new site.

A friend told me about Mantis Rodz, and I'm glad that he did. This is a refreshing blog and gives a number of readers and bloggers a great way to interact with the site. I'm sure by the name that everyone understands that I'm a mopar fan....muscle cars, classic cars and choppers-they are all topnotch in my book.

I'd like to include some photos (from Hubcapcafe) of some hot mopars for your site. A couple of sites that I frequent: Hub Cap Cafe and Mopar. If you want to see some great old photos the Hubcap is the way to go. Read about performance, parts, Don Garlits, Tom Hoover and Dick Landy at the Mopar site.

Thanks for the site Mantis! I also understand the importance of placing the tagwords/labels in the box below. Hope this helps you out!

Check out these high performance Corvettes

It's the rodzrookie again-but this time I found some high performance racing rodz. I was surprised to run across two vettes in the driveway. What really was on my mind-was what was sitting in the garage! These rides were spotted in Renton, WA. This corvette site is pretty cool to cruise to.

Hey Mantis-Look at the El Camino that I found!

The rodzrookie has been on the hunt for cars lately to post, but the weather still isn't very good. It will be great when the sun comes out for a couple of days straight to see some nice rides. This one looked like it belonged on the site. The ride was spotted in Mukilteo, WA.

1966 Mustang

Hey Mantis and all Rodz Readers!
This little beauty, a 1966 Ford Mustang, is for sale. She's only $5,000 and might burn a little oil. What I want to know.......
Is this a collector vehicle?
Is it worth the maintenance?
Are there any troubles with this make, year and model that I need to be aware of?
Most importantly, would you car experts out there buy it, if you were me, of course?

Mantis thinks this 1953 Buick is "Special."

Mantis knows that the car community is a tight group, but the world is also small. Chuck allowed us to photo his sweet ride. When he saw the Mantis business card, he recognized the "Praying Mantis" right away! He even said that he rebuilt one of our member's engines-"Silver55"s '55 Chevy. Sure is a small world indeed. Mantis found out that Chuck and his wife belong to a local Buick club. They just got back from a meeting when we found him refueling in Lynnwood, WA. He also owned a well known auto parts store for over 30 years. We look forward to Chuck becoming a Mantis Rodz member so that he can tell us his stories and share his club with other Mantis Rodz members. Thanks Chuck! Rodzreaders check out this Roadsters site.

Mantis meets Harley on the road in Mill Creek, WA.

Mantis apologizes about the poor quality video, but it just had to have the window open to get some footage of this awesome bike. The Harley's hum sounded so good for a brief time until the wind took over. The video doesn't do this HOG justice. View Harley Davidson to see more hogs.

Rodz rookie posts some more step-side rigs.

Hello Mantis!

I noticed that GearAbby posted a cool step-side pick-up in an earlier entry. The rodzrookie recently ran across a couple of rigs that are in different restoration scenarios. They were spotted in Edmonds and Everett, WA. One of the pick ups-the older model-looks to be in better shape. What would Mantis do to make this ride a show truck? Is this other pick-up similar to Gear Abby's, and what would be needed to make this one show worthy? Help the rodzrookie out Mantis!

1957 Chevy BelAir Convertible

Bruce McConnell

Granite Falls, Wa.

Owned since 1974

Body & Paint by:Jimmy Kollman & Greg Martin

I bought this in 1974 and abused it blowing motors, rear ends and wrecking the right rear quarter but it sure was fun. If it had been a hard top I probably would have sold it but being a convertible I knew it was worth holding on to. I had it re-done a few years back and this is the outcome. Post your car and let's see this site take off and flourish.

Mantis spotted an awesome BUG!

Mantis sure digs this VW Bug. It was spotted in the Alderwood Mall parking lot in Lynnwood, WA. Does anyone recognize this fun ride? Mantis still thinks that it's a "cooler bug" though! Everyone remembers the movie "Herbie" and playing "slug bug" in the car while going on trips. Mantis hopes to see some more VW Beetles and would like to see some VW Buses too. Take a peek at this Old VW Bug site.

Tom's 2007 Mustang GT has "Power" written all over it!

Mantis would like to thank Tom from Des Moines, WA. for taking the time to talk Mustang. Tom's been a Mustang guy several times over. His first one was a 1966 convertible. He sold the car because it was more important to start a family and help raise babies. As you can see, the Ford Motor Company stayed in his veins. In between the early and new model he owned a 1995 Mustang GT Convertible-5.0 liter engine. His 2007 high performance vehicle has a 4.6 liter engine-300hp. Tom said that he will track down some photos of his '66 and get them posted soon. He'll also show his friends that he's a "Mantis Celebrity." Thanks again Tom! Looking forward to seeing you soon.

'67 Chevy Step-Side

Howdy Mantis!

Check this out!
This is my dad's newest acquisition. His name is Chuck Marquart of Ferndale, WA. He's a member of Whatcom County Cruisers view this club's site at Whatcom County Cruisers, and he and my mom just received the National Street Rodder's Association Annual Volunteer of the Year Award National Street Rodders Association their work on behalf of the hot-rodding community and the charities that they support!
This is a sweet cherry red, '67, Step-side, hot rod, pick-up. It has a beautiful hardwood bed - and check out that great dash. He picked up this little baby "just for kicks," he says. This ride sits in the garage next to his '29 Ford Roadster show car, a '40 Ford Coupe, and the '34 Ford Pick-up he is working on. Chuck sure knows how to have fun.
