RodzReader Submissions

Proud of your ride? We haven’t even seen it yet, but we can still say we don’t blame you. Whatever you’ve done, you’ve taken a mass-produced or robot-assembled vehicle and turned it in to a hand-worked, one-of-a-kind expression of your automotive passion.

Post your car and development story on our site! Share your passion with your “brothers-in-rodz.” Be sure to include key words for your blog in the “Labels” box when you post — that way RodzReaders will be able to find you and your post!

Kompact Kar Korner in Lynnwood, WA has the goods!

Talk about nostalgia and going back in time-walking into the showroom of Kompact Kar Korner is just that. When you step into their shop, it's like you are at a drive-in, gas station, burger joint and having James Dean walk by. They sport the cream of the crop in vintage-classic vehicles. Take a look at the photos that the ownership group allowed us to take. Mantis would like to thank Grant and the Kompact Kar Korner "krew!" Make sure and check out their web site.

Legends Car Club unites at the Seattle Roadster Show

Cruzin with a car club is a lot of fun. Mantis Rodz has a vendor booth right across a club that sports some classic '50s and '60s rides. Here are a few cars for your viewing pleasure! The 1964 Chevrolet is a 2 Door Sport Coupe, 327ci/300hp, 4SPcr, 4.10oar...it's color is Midnight Blue Metalic and all factory original. Mantis will work on getting the specs on this 1967 Chevrolet Nova SS-2 door hardtop.

Their display is nostalgic and packed with '50s and '60s memorabilia. See Marilyn Monroe stare at you-and walk down memory lane with record sleeves of Jerry Lee Lewis, The Wailers and Roy Orbison. Don't miss out on James Dean. This Legends Car Club is a lot of fun. Hope that you were able to check them out at the Seattle Roadster Show. Thanks again Ken and the group!

Larry of Everett is proud-original owner of some fine rides.

Larry and his son enjoy classic cars. Larry's son (Bill) even drove the '56 Ford F-100 to high school and the '64 Chevelle Malibu SS to college in Arizona nearly 30 years ago. Check out the photos of these vintage vehicles. Max of Mantis got in the photo because Larry was a little camera shy. Thanks again Larry and Bill.

Don't see many T-Birds like this one!

When Mantis was on the road in Lynnwood, WA. the other day it couldn't help but capture this beauty of a ride. This Thunderbird just hummed on the road. Was there a flaw on this classic beauty? Not at all!
Do the Rodzreaders notice Jimbo's Family Restaurant in the background? Most locals should recognize this landmark family diner. It's been around for years. Have any rodders been there before?

Tbird HQ is a place for Thunderbird and classic car fans to take in.

What a classic Mustang that Mantis spotted!

Mantis would like to thank this classic car collector for allowing us to take a picture of his car. The Mustang owner bought his ride a couple of years ago and it had the original 289 motor. As the rodzreaders will be able to tell-the car has been restored into pristine shape. The owner also allowed us to look at the engine....incredible! The Mustang and the owner was spotted north of Seattle. Thanks again for allowing Mantis the opportunity. Hope to see you at one of the upcoming car shows!

Classic car and Mustang fans should visit Top Stangs to view some sites.

What a great VW Transporter work rig!

When it comes to rugged work trucks-this 1990 VW Transporter rig does the trick. Mantis met Jeremy Simkins with Backflows Northwest (425-277-2888) doing some tests in Bothell, WA. He has had his backflow prevention business for 5 years and has put his ride to the test. It may not be a classic, vintage, street or muscle car, but this vehicle sure has character. Jeremy informed Mantis that he has photos when he first bought the rig-and has some interesting history to share. The rodzreaders will look forward to reading about it. Thanks Jeremy!

Check out the ride that Mantis spotted!

When the sun comes out-the cool cars arrive. Mantis was able to capture this beauty of a Camaro in Lynnwood, WA. just as the driver was walking away. Unfortunately Mantis was unable to get the scoop on this awesome muscle car, but hopefully the driver will fill the rodzreaders in on the goods. A picture of the engine and a better description of the car would be appreciative! Thanks for allowing Mantis to take a picture of your car. Hey all of you Camaro fans check out Fire Wheel Classics for a great site.
